Christopher Grodski Experience and Expertise

Professional credentials are only part of the story. Experience, training and apprenticeships in the field are critically important for being able to recognize and treat the varied needs of patients. Christopher has extensive field and practical experience. His interest in restoring health began as a biology student at Norwich University, Military College of Vermont where he became involved with mountaineering and cold weather rescue work. About this time he had a close, personal exposure to the effectiveness of Chinese medicine after which he decided to take up the study of Traditional Chinese Medicine at the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in Chicago. During this 4 year program, Christopher treated patients with many diverse needs and gained clinical experience at Project Vida - an HIV clinic for minorities. After graduation Christopher became State Licensed and Nationally Board Certified in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine. He opened a private Chinese Medical practice in Southampton, NY. During time spent in private practice in NY, he also apprenticed with Mikal Gohring, L.Ac., a practitioner of 30 years and student of Jeffrey Yuen. Presently, Christopher is pleased to be the newest addition to the Bodnar Chiropractic Center in Alexandria, Va., where he continues to practice Traditional Chinese Medicine. He uses acupuncture, herbal medicine, cupping, moxibustion and massage to treat people for a wide variety of ailments, as well as general health and balancing. He diligently practices Tai Chi-chuan, Yoga and Qi Gong meditation daily to remain balanced and healthy and to be an effective practitioner.
