Tyra Mckinzie, Massage Therapist, has had an interest in massage and bodywork for over 15 years. In November 2009 she decided to pursue one of her dreams and attended massage therapy school. She completed a 600 hour program at The National Massage Therapy Institute in Falls Church, Virginia in July 2010. She received her certification with NCBTMB in August 2010 and is now licensed to practice in the State of Virginia. She was the lead Massage Therapist at the now defunct, Mount Vernon Athletic Club for the past 9 and ½ years. Tyra believes that the body can heal itself by taking a holistic approach. Realizing that through touch, it has been proven that massage can relieve stress, increase healthy blood-flow and joint mobility. Her specialties are:

Swedish, Deep Tissue, and Sports Massage. She can also customize massage sessions according to clients’ need. She is a gifted musician and songwriter who also enjoys playing Tennis and Basketball.

What to Expect from Your Massage Therapy Visit

Upon arriving for your appointment your therapist will greet you and speak to you about any painful or tight areas of your body to assess the best type of massage possible for you. Using caring hands and knowledge your therapist will work to soothe sore muscles and leave you feeling rejuvenated.

Massages are by appointment only and can be booked for 60 or 90 minutes.
