Dr. Hansen had aspirations to be in the healthcare field since his time as an avid soccer and tennis athlete in high school. Inspired by his father who works in the physical therapy field and has performed as a competitive powerlifter, he pursued his undergraduate degree in Exercise Science and Human Performance at both Edinboro and Slippery Rock University. He played college tennis for 3 years while attending Edinboro University and later served as an assistant coach for the women’s tennis team at Slippery Rock University. After shadowing a chiropractor during his senior year of undergraduate, Dr. Hansen decided that chiropractic was the career path he wanted to follow. He decided to attend New York Chiropractic College due to their philosophy of evidence-based chiropractic care. He received his Doctorate of Chiropractic and was also certified in Whole Foods Nutrition, Chiropractic Management of Pregnant and Pediatric Patients, and Sports Injury Management. His clinical rotations included practicing at the VA Medical Center in Bath, NY, Monroe Community Hospital in Rochester, NY, and St. Joseph’s Neighborhood Center in Rochester, NY. Dr. Hansen is specialized in ART (Active Release Technique). He performs various chiropractic adjustment technique including Thompson Drop, Cox Flexion Distraction, Diversified, Thompson drop, Activator, and Webster technique. His love of chiropractic care and working with patients to optimize their health comes from always wanting individuals to feel and experience their best self.
